Access to the CEIC APIs is regulated via an API key / token. It is used for authentication purposes in user’s automation code implementation. Once an API key is generated, it remains valid and can be used multiple times. API key is automatically invalidated when you create a new one or when your subscription to the CEIC Macroeconomic Data API is terminated.
API key generation and validation steps:
  1. You need to be subscribed for CEIC Macroeconomic Data API product.
  2. Login to our Developers Portal site with your active username and password

  3. Once you’re logged in, you can manage your CEIC API key

  4. You can generate an CEIC API key / token. This will automatically invalidate your old key.

  5. Once you’re logged in, you can validate your existing CEIC API key / token from your profile menu.
